Smart wear

This semester I worked with another three colleagues on a very interesting project within the FabLab (Fabrication Laboratory) of Grenoble INP. The goal of the Smart Wear project (Tricot Malin in french) was to create the prototype of a smart T-shirt that is able to interact with an intelligent house through simple gestures. The T-Shirt uses inertial measurment units, whose outputs are used as inputs for the motion detection algorithm that is executed in an Arduino microcontroller board. By using electrocardiogram sensors, Tricot Malin also allows the house’s environment to change accordingly to the wearer’s state.

During this project we had some soldering and sewing sessions, wich made it more interesting and even fun :).

Here you can find the timeline of the project. Code and schematics can be found on github.
